St Chad Middlesmoor
Only about 22 homes are inhabited in the village which is perhaps the most picturesque in Nidderdale. Although the regular congregation is but a handful you will be surprised how many attend our special services like Lambing Sunday , Bell Festival , Harvest, Nativity, Mothering Sunday and Songs of Praise. People from the Dale have great affection for this church dedicated to St Chad who reputedly preached nearby. An ancient hammer-head cross was found buried in the churchyard and can be seen inside the west end of the church
